Set Your Intent

HIf not, would you like to? A new Web site, aptly named Intent.com, is all ave you created an intention for this day? For this year? For this lifetime?

about inspiring and supporting people to become conscious of their intentions, and choose those that promote health and wellness for themselves and the planet.

Not surprisingly, Intent.com is the brainchild of Mallika Chopra, whom many know as an author and daughter of Deepak Chopra, M.D. “I wanted to create a place where people could come together and share ideas on wellness—on a personal, spiritual and global level,” says Chopra, who launched the site by gathering more than 350 inspired voices from around the world to share their stories. Book authors, such as Debbie Ford and Larry Dossey, and celebrities like Fran Drescher and Olivia Newton-John blog on the site.

“Our intentions are really planting the seeds for what we want in our lives,” Chopra explains. “I was brought up to really be very clear about my intentions and share them, recognizing that it’s the first step to realizing any dream, goal or aspiration.”

If you’re seeking a healthier body, better relationships and a more sustainable lifestyle, the first step is to say that is what you want, says Chopra. For more information about how to achieve your intentions, check out Intent.com’s four-part series by M.J. Ryan, author of This Year I Will. And, of course, for some ideas on a few healthy intentions to set, don’t miss any of this issue of Great Health.
